Endorsement interviews: Shamman Walton for School Board

Shamann Walton, who runs a youth development program, told us what most candidates tell us -- that the schools don't have enough money. But he's also suggesting solutions, ones that don't require the kind of dramatic change in Sacramento that is years away. He talks about leverage federal vocational training funds, about pushing to get more General Fund money for the San Francisco schools, about demanding that developers set aside some money for public education. Walter has plenty of experience in education -- he taught at a public school in Solano County, worked with at-risk kids and has helped the SFUSD with support and transition programs.

Walton said he would have voted against skipping seniority for the so-called Superintendent's Zone schools; when it comes to layoffs, he said, "you have to let the teachers and the union decide that." You can listen to the full interview after the jump.

"We need to leverage tech companies to give middle-school students internships."

Leveraging is good.

He'll be a good city supervisor some day after a term on the school board. What district does he live in?

My writing about all SF and world's problems, policy will be endless. I only have ONE major, primary purpose for writing....see below.
Dear Lady, Sir.....

Question:

I hope you can help in my search for Janis Miller, for which I issued ‘message’ below.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For family - friends - colleagues of:

Janis Miller ( JM ), female, black, born in Galveston/Texas 1948.

Family ( father waiter, mother nurse in SF, one little brother and one little sister ) moved in mid 1950'th to San Francisco. Parents divorsed...I GUESS in early 1960'th.
In ( about ) 1968 JM did graduate from a college in San Francisco in psycology!!
Thereupon JM did go to Marocco by ship and went through Europe in 1968 - 1970 as dancer.

We did meet in Middelfart, Denmark. In 1970 she danced in a ballet group for Swedish TV2 ( SVT to-day ). The programme was called Riedaiglia, with choreography by the late Alvin Ailey.
Then we lost connection...unfortunately. You MAYBE can help???

ANYONE, who know this JM, inform me kindly about JM, family ( brother, sister, relatives...), whatever and whoever, for someone, who can inform, tell me where JM possible live, and what possible happened to her.

I will be most grateful for ANY information you send me.

You may send message to me on mailaddresses styrrasmussen@mail.dk and hav@forum.dk
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Multiply message as possible, print it...to be placed everywhere, on board s,
eveywhere.....
I thank you very much in advance for your support, efforts and for your possible information.

Sincerely Vagn, Denmark
